Each mug is finished with an FDA approved food grade epoxy that is hot and cold liquid safe. The finish prevents the wood from transferring any flavor into your coffee and will not damage or dull over time. To preserve the finish, hand wash with warm, soapy water.  Each mug will hold 10oz of coffee plus a little room for cream.

The mug you received is truly one of a kind. I source my wood from trees that have fallen naturally, had a little help from my chainsaw or rescued from a roadside free firewood pile. Because they are all hand-crafted, you may notice slight variations in size or shape, or some blemishes in the wood, this is all part of the unique character of each piece.
